“My name is Crystelle Botuli and I own a clothing boutique in a busy commercial area of Kinshasa called Barumbu . I am new to FINCA, this is my first loan. Because I had already started my business I was able to get an individual loan for $400. This will really help me buy new merchandise and expand my business. I buy a lot of my clothes in Brazzaville in the Republic of Congo across the Congo river from here. Now-a-days it is difficult to find someone who you can borrow money from, so being able to get a loan will be a big benefit to the expansion of my businessâ€.

“My name is Papy Limokeidi and I own a music shop in Kinshasa called ‘Citi de la music’. I was working for another shop where I learned my business. After I saved some money I decided to start my own shop because I love music so much and I wanted to be my own boss. Also I recently got married and needed to make more money to start a family. Even though I had saved enough money to build the shop I did not have enough to fully stock it with all the latest cd’s and cassettes. I have had three loans from FINCA,
The first being $400 , the last being $600. It’s very difficult to borrow money here in Congo so FINCA micro loans have really helped me realize my dreamâ€.
